The focus of this workshop is Distress Tolerance.
In this workshop, you will learn:
- What happens in our brains and bodies when we become emotionally dysregulated
- How to validate one’s emotions and experience of distress
- The value in effectively getting through challenging situations and experiences without making things worse
- Specific DBT skills for slowing down reactivity, changing one’s body chemistry, practicing effective distraction, making a difficult moment more tolerable, and self-soothing
Cost: $50 for 1 participant and $25 for each additional friend or family member
